About Us

Principal

My name is Joe Suhre – and I am committed to DUI defense. I am a graduate of Xavier University where I received a bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice. I continued my legal education at the University of Cincinnati where I received my Juris Doctorate.

I am licensed to practice in Ohio, Kentucky and the United States District Court, Southern District of Ohio. I assist clients in Cincinnati, Columbus, Northern Kentucky, Lexington and Louisville.

Professional Awards

Cincy Magazine named me leading lawyer in the field of DUI defense in 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010.

The The Leading Lawyer Award includes the prominent and powerful legal minds of the Greater Cincinnati Area. Hundreds of members from the Greater Cincinnati legal community nominate colleagues for this honor. Nominees are judged by a jury of peers to ensure fairness and impartiality.

Experience

I received the Ohio Police Officer Training Academy certification and worked for six years as an auxiliary police officer. I truly believe my experience as a former police officer make me uniquely suited to effectively and aggressively defend my clients charged with DUI.

My name is Erwin Roberts. I grew up in Hardin and Meade Counties and was an Army brat growing up.

As I neared High School graduation, I wanted a good education and continue to play basketball in college so I went to Transylvania University where I graduated in 1994.

After graduation, I took a position with Bunch & Brock Law Firm, as a runner and law clerk. It was during that time that I decided to become a lawyer because I found I would be able to help people through their legal issues and get the justice they were looking for.

Being in Lexington, I could not only attend a law school that was local, but was also one of the best in the country. So a applied to and was accepted at the University of Kentucky College of Law.

I graduated from law school in 1997 and immediately took a position with the Fayette County Commonwealths Attorney’s Office as a prosecutor.

In 1999, I began working for the United States Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Kentucky as an Assistant United States Attorney prosecuting those charged with federal offenses. And shortly after that, I also joined the United States Army Reserve Judge Advocate General’s Corp (JAG) as an attorney. I wanted to gain more experience in a number of different areas and this position allowed me to do just that. I’m still in the Army reserve and currently hold the rank of Major.

In 2004, I joined the Kentucky Office of Homeland Security as the Executive Director and shortly after that, I was asked to join the Kentucky Environmental & Public Protection Cabinet as the Deputy Director.

And in that same year, I was named the Cabinet Secretary for the Personnel Cabinet for the Commonwealth of Kentucky.

In early 2006, I was recruited to work in private practice and accepted a position at Frost Brown Todd in Louisville and worked their for four years.

In 2010, I wanted to open my own law firm and in July of 2010, I did just that.

I use my extensive experience as a prosecutor daily in helping my clients defend themselves against criminal charges…..and I’ll so the same for you.

If you, or a family member has been arrested for DUI or other criminal matter, do not hesitate to call me for a free consultation at 502-371-7000.
